1) The plan was to continue
discussing refrigeration system service
in this issue, but I’ve fallen so incredibly far behind lately that I just
haven’t been able to get the article written. I do apologize for that.
January's always my busiest month, and I have yet to
catch up from
the rush, so I’ve had to postpone this series. We’ll pick it up again
in the next issue, I promise!

2) Food for thought for your New Year:
The story is told that in ancient times, a king had a huge
boulder placed on a well-traveled roadway so it almost
blocked the path. The king then hid himself and watched
to see if anyone would remove the rock.
Many people, including some of the king’s wealthiest
merchants and courtiers, came to the huge stone and
navigated their way around it. Most of them loudly
blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear and for
having their travel impeded. None of them, however,
did anything about getting the huge stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along, carrying a
load of vegetables.
On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his
burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road.
After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.
As the peasant picked up his load of
vegetables to go on,
he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had
been. The purse was full of gold coins and a note from
the king indicating that the gold was for the person who
removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many others
never understand:
every obstacle we find in our path presents an opportunity
to rejoice and be rewarded as we do what the Lord wants
us to do.
James 1:2-5
