Whirlpool/Kenmore 279769 Dryer Thermal Fuse/Safety Kit

279769 dryer thermal / safety thermostat kit

Here's the very popular Whirlpool 279769 electric dryer thermal kit - ON SALE! Fits many 29 inch (wide) dryers made by Whirlpool, including Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Roper, and Estate brands, as well as some of the 27 inch wide models. If your dryer uses a 350F degree thermal fuse, then this is your kit.

The thermal fuse, the smaller component on the right in the picture, is the device that commonly burns open, by design, when your dryer overheats. This fuse most often fails when there's a clog in the vent system.

Should be replaced as a set, because if there's been a vent problem, the safety thermostat (on the left in the picture) has most likely been 'short-cycling', and will be badly stressed.

This is a 'generic' kit that has been a very good 'sub' for the 'OEM' one.

This is the most popular, but there are several thermal kits currently in use. If you're in any doubt about which one your dryer uses, drop me an email with your model number and I'll make sure we get you the right one (I stock them all, just don't have them posted yet).

You'll find the model number inside your dryer's door.

It's not a bad idea to keep one of these on hand if you're at all handy and enjoy the affections of an admiring spouse (and clean laundry) <grin>. They always seem to fail on weekends or holidays or when your college kids have come home with that carload of laundry! ;-).

Not hard to replace, but you'll find diagnostic help here and I'm right here to help should you  have any questions.

Whirlpool's current price for this kit is over $29.00, but you don't have to pay that.  You don't even have to drive anywhere! Stay right in your chair, and I'll have the mailman bring it right to your door in about two days, Priority Mail, for just $5.00!

To buy this thermal kit immediately using Paypal (use your credit card), click the button below. Current sale price is $14.50, so your total will be only $19.50, delivered! I must say that's a hard price to beat, folks!

(You don't need a Paypal account to pay with your credit card)

If you'd rather order by another method, live outside the US, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me

Thank You!
