Whirlpool Washer Agitator 'Dogs'
Part Number 285770 (Alt # 80040)

#285770 / 80040 Agitator Dogs

If you own a Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Roper, or Estate washer purchased within the last 20 years or so and the top half of its agitator isn't 'ratcheting' around any more, then these agitator dogs should be replaced.

These four little plastic pieces are responsible for driving the upper, auger portion of dual-action agitators to properly wash larger loads. They're purposely made of soft material and will wear out long before the (more expensive) teeth that they engage. If you can turn the top of your agitator in both directions, then these are worn out.

And installation is easy - You can do it if you're just a little bit 'handy'!

This is a very common problem, and I keep plenty of these in stock, and they're not expensive - only $7.50. And I'll Priority a set to any US address - fast! - for just $5.00 shipping and handling. You'll have them in 2 days - 3 max - excluding Sundays!

PS - Be sure you're buying OEM, genuine Whirlpool 'dogs'. Here's a photo comparing the generic version being sold very cheaply, that isn't worth a nickel. Some generic replacement parts are OK, but not these. Look closely at their 3 teeth. The one on the left is the generic 'knockoff', on the right the long-lasting genuine 'OEM' part:

Click the button below to buy these (the OEM set of 4) instantly using Paypal, ($12.50 total) and I'll ship them to you immediately:

(You don't need a Paypal account to pay with your credit card)

Note: Paypal payments can be sourced from any credit card or even a bank account, and it's a very easy system to use (and much more secure than speaking your credit card number over an open phone line!)

If you'd rather order by another method, live outside the US, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me

Thank You!
