Here's the very common Genuine Whirlpool (not an 'aftermarket' brand -
they've given me too much trouble)
direct-drive washer pump, part # 3363394. Old part numbers include
3352492, 3348015. This is the most common of the 2 pumps in use on these
machines, and they're on sale for only $29.50 plus shipping & handling!

current retail price is $74.49 (ouch!), so you'll get a deal
on this one!)
Pump
failure is pretty common on these otherwise very reliable clothes
washers, and the only source of leaks we see from them on a regular
basis.
If
you own a Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Estate, or Roper top-load
washer, then you'll want to pick one of these up and keep it on
hand.
