Whirlpool/Kenmore 3387747 (27") Dryer Element

Here's the popular Whirlpool 3387747 electric dryer heating element - ON SALE! This element fits all Whirlpool, Kenmore (model numbers starting with '110' only), Kitchenaid, Roper, and Estate dryers with the 27" wide cabinet.

If your dryer's cabinet is 27" wide and you access the lint filter by opening the door, then this is your element. And this is the easiest of all the Whirlpool-made elements to replace! You don't even have to move the dryer, access is entirely from the front. But be sure you actually need an element before you spend any hard-earned cash. Please note: if you aren't sure your element coil is burnt open, either by testing it (with a meter or 240V test bulb) or pulling it out and finding an open spot (these usually burn out near the back), please don't order one of these until you've read this page. If you just can't figure it out, email me with your dryer model number (inside the door) and I'll be happy to help figure out what's causing the problem. Even though it's the first thing that comes to mind, there are several causes for a 'no heat' dryer in addition to an open element, and I don't want you to buy parts you may not need.
