Whirlpool/Kenmore
3392519 Dryer Thermal Fuse
|
 |
|
(2" long x 1/2" wide, two 3/16" QD
terminals) |
Here's the very popular Whirlpool #3392519 electric dryer thermal fuse.
Used on most 29 inch (wide) brand dryers made by Whirlpool,
including Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Roper, and
Estate brands.
This 'one-time' device is designed to open at 91C/196F, and once it
opens, it's 'toast' and will have to be replaced (resist the temptation
to just bypass it. It's saved countless homes from fire over the years!)
This
thermal fuse is in series with the motor in electric dryer models, but
controls voltage to the gas valve in Whirlpool-built gas models
(motor will still run in gas models, but they won't heat).
This fuse often fails, by design, when there's a clog causing poor
airflow in the dryer's venting. But they also will 'wear out' with age (that sounds way too
familiar!)
This
is the most popular fuse used in these dryers. If you're in any doubt about
which one your dryer needs,
drop
me an email with your model number and I'll make sure we get
you the right one (I stock them all, just don't have them posted yet). The
model numbers are usually found inside the dryer door.
Very easy
to replace (one screw, two quick-disconnect wires), and
also simple
to test, by just temporarily connecting its wires together (if the dryer
runs with this fuse bypassed, you immediately know it's open). And I'm right here to help should you have any questions.
To
buy this thermal fuse immediately using Paypal, click the
button below. Current sale price is $7.00 plus $5 S/H, so your total will be only $12.00
rushed to you
in 2-3 days via Priority Mail! (PA residents have 6% sales tax added)
If you'd like to order more
than one (not a bad idea - these always seem to fail when the college
kids bring all their laundry home!), don't hesitate to go ahead and pay
the multiple shipping. I just refund it in cash.
(You don't need a Paypal
account to pay with your credit card)
If you'd rather order by another method,

Thank You!
