Whirlpool/Kenmore 4391960 Dryer Element

Here's the very popular Whirlpool 4391960 electric dryer heating element - ON SALE! Fits most 29 inch (wide) dryers made by Whirlpool, including Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, Roper, and Estate brands.

5400W @ 240V, single coil (2 wire) element, the 'Long' one (as opposed to, yep, the 'short' one - 279838 - those are on sale too!)

This 'generic' element kit has been a good one for me for many years. Replaces old numbers 279698, 279455 and a whole host of others. If you're in doubt about your model number, drop me an email and I'll make sure it fits yours.  It's a good idea to keep one of these on hand if you're at all handy and enjoy the affections of an admiring spouse (and clean laundry) <grin>.

Not a tough job, and you'll find installation instructions here.

Please note: if you aren't sure your element coil is burnt open, either by testing it (with a meter or 240V test bulb) or pulling it out and finding an open spot (these usually burn out near the top), please don't order one of these until you've read this page. If you just can't figure it out, email me with your dryer model number (inside the door) and I'll be happy to help figure out what's causing the problem. Even though it's the first thing that comes to mind, there are several causes for a 'no heat' dryer in addition to an open element, and I don't want you to buy parts you may not need. Click here for help with getting the element out to look at its coil.

Whirlpool's current price for their version of this kit is over $48.00 (plus shipping - ouch!), but you don't have to pay that.  You don't even have to drive to a parts store. Stay right there in your chair, and I'll have the mailman bring it right to your door in 2-3 days Priority Mail (US addresses only), for just $7.50!

To buy one immediately using Paypal (securely use your credit card), click the button below. Current sale price is $23.50, so your total will be $31.00 delivered! I must say that's a hard price to beat, folks!

(You don't need a Paypal account to pay with your credit card)

If you'd rather order by another method, live outside the US, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me

Thank You!
