Sunbeam Mixmaster Governor Capacitor
(Used in Models 5 thru 12)

(New) Sunbeam Mixmaster Governor Capacitor 10-2065X

Here's a rare governor capacitor for the great old Sunbeam Mixmaster stand mixers, models 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12.

No longer available from Sunbeam, this is a brand new - NOT USED - capacitor. I build these from high quality, new parts, and guarantee them to work great in the above vintage mixer models. Approx. 1-3/4" long, 1/2" diameter, the original part this capacitor replaces was Sunbeam part #10-2065 (this one's my part #10-2065X). Rated at 500 VAC, so it also works in non-US 220 volt models.

Note: when the original capacitor shorts in one of these mixers, as commonly happens, it will run on high speed only, no matter where you set the dial. To verify a bad capacitor, pry it out temporarily (it's the bottom cylindrical component) and run the mixer briefly without it. If its speed varies normally, you immediately know the capacitor's the problem (don't run one regularly without this part installed, though; it'll burn the governor contacts).

If you should have any questions or need any other Mixmaster parts, please feel free to ask me. I stock well over 100 Mixmasters as parts sources (I also buy them if you have one to sell!)

And don't miss the Sunbeam manuals posted here on the website. They're direct, high quality scans of the original manuals my Dad and I have used for years! Just click on 'Sunbeam' on the left side of this page to have a look.

These sell for $12.50 plus $5 Priority shipping and handling, $17.50 total (Sorry, but the penny's not included <grin>).

(Btw, you no longer need a Paypal account to pay with your credit card!)

To email me a question specifically about this part, please click here . I should have new governor resistors for these mixers available soon, too. I still sell them used, re-coated, and guaranteed, but I'm working on making new ones!
