Cheapskate's Home-made
Window Cleaner
When I first saw this recipe a decade or so ago, I
was pretty skeptical. But after using it for a long time, I can tell you
it works better than most commercial products that cost a lot
more!
So here's the recipe:
To a gallon jug, add:
1 tsp dishwashing detergent (I'm partial to Dawn™ myself)
1 pint rubbing alcohol
1/2 cup ammonia
Top off the gallon with water - That's it!
Try it, I think you'll like it. I use it for glass,
plastic microwave oven doors, keypads, and displays (use only high grade
paper towels or cotton cloth on plastic), and most anywhere
else I
used to use the less-effective name-brand stuff.
