Gas
valve
-
1) Combination pressure regulator and valve used in gas dryers,
electrically controlled by a combination of 3 solenoid coils 2) used in
gas ranges to regulate surface burners 3) an inline shutoff valve inserted
in a gas appliance's supply line.
Glide
(see ‘Slide’) – pieces of plastic, usually made of some version of
Teflon®, used as dryer drum bearings. Most commonly used to support the
front of the drum, most of the weight being carried by a bearing or
rollers in the rear.
Grommet
seal
– A large rubber ‘washer’ that surrounds and seals the spin tube of
Whirlpool-made clothes washers.
